Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) - Hoboken, NJ

Our firm has specialized in Brownfield redevelopment projects in North Jersey and has built over a thousand units of housing in the major urban cities of our state. For over 30 years HBC and its affiliated companies has been dedicated to building quality urban housing in New Jersey, and extending the job-creation and knowledge base that in-state construction engenders. Our commitment led us at an early time to focus on energy efficiency and leading edge approaches to high performance building and whole building integrated design. We have invested a significant amount of time and money studying what the “state of the art” green building, seeking to go beyond US Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED standards. Our goal includes the design and construction of “Net Zero Energy” buildings, buildings that balance energy demand and green energy sources, off-set peak energy load, and tend toward zero carbon footprints. Using our uniquely holistic design approach, we can create buildings that reduce energy consumption 50% to 90% when compared to conventional base-line construction. In our goal to produce a building product that will conserve energy we discovered an extraordinary product initially advanced in Europe over 80 years ago, that performs in many ways similar to traditional concrete building products but, has many significantly better performance characteristics. Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) is that product. Our plans are to build an AAC manufacturing facility in New Jersey, producing a more diverse and considerably better product line that will offer the ability to use the material in more applications than the other manufacturing facilities. The new facility will supply AAC products to a currently un-served market that will span the eastern seaboard from Boston to Washington, DC and beyond based on the unique products that will be produced. Currently we are the Northeast representative for Aercon the only manufacturer of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete block and panels in the United States.
